What is the Summer Country Showdown?

The Summer Country Showdown is a dynamic two-day festival celebrating the best of country music and culture. With live performances from leading country artists, the event caters to fans of both classic and modern country, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.

When and where is the Summer Country Showdown taking place?

The event will take place on August 23 and 24 at University of Idaho's ICCU Arena in Moscow, Idaho.

Who will be performing at the Summer Country Showdown?

The Summer Country Showdown will showcase two nights of outstanding live country music from some of the genre's biggest names. On Friday, Day One, Yung Gravy takes the lead as the headliner, with Tayler Holder kicking off the festivities. The excitement continues on Saturday, Day Two, with Clint Black, Craig Morgan and Bryan Martin.

Is there an age restriction for attending the event?

The Summer Country Showdown welcomes attendees of all ages; however, a valid ticket is required for entry. While the event is designed to be family-friendly, alcohol will be available for purchase.

Will the clear bag policy be in effect?

Yes, the Summer Country Showdown will adhere to the University of Idaho's clear bag policy, which applies to all on-campus events expecting 500 or more attendees.

Ticket FAQs

Are single-day tickets available?

Yes, single-day tickets are currently the only option available for purchase. This decision stems from our careful evaluation of feedback received from attendees of last year's event, which highlighted a clear preference for more flexible ticketing options.

Is a Two-Day Event Pass available?

Not currently. This decision was made after careful consideration of feedback from attendees of last year's event as we discovered that there was a strong preference among festival-goers for more flexible ticketing options. In response, we've adjusted our approach to better meet the needs of our audience. Separating the ticket options allows attendees to customize their festival experience according to their own schedules and interests, ensuring that they can make the most out of the event.

Are tickets required for entry?

Yes, tickets are necessary for entry to the event. They can be purchased in advance via the event's official website or through authorized ticket vendors.

Will tickets be available for purchase at the event?

Limited tickets might be available at the venue's box office on the days of the event, depending on availability. To ensure your attendance, it's recommended to purchase tickets prior to the event.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend the event?

Refund requests should be directed to the ticketing provider, as refund and exchange policies vary. Please be aware that some events may enforce a no-refund policy or have specific deadlines for refund requests. 

RV/Camping FAQs

Can I camp at the event?

RV and camper owners can purchase an RV space to park and stay overnight at the event. Please note, university policy prohibits tent camping, and an RV/Camper must occupy an RV space.

Do I need a vehicle pass?

No, parking is free of charge for this event.

What's the best time to arrive?

The best time to arrive is when doors open: at 6 pm for the event starting at 7 pm on August 23, and at 5 pm for the event starting at 6 pm on August 24.

What should I bring to the event?

Please bring your ticket (either printed or digital) for entry. Additionally, bring a valid ID for age verification purposes, and any personal items you may need during the event, such as cash, a mobile phone and a small bag for essentials. A list of prohibited items can be found by clicking here.

When does the music start?

On Friday, the music starts at 7:00 pm in the arena. On Saturday, the music starts at 6 pm.

Can I come and go from the event?

No, re-entry is not permitted to the arena.  

Are credit cards accepted? What about debit? Cash?

It is recommended you bring a credit/debit card with you. While not all vendors on site will be cashless, many will be.

Will there be all-gender restrooms?

Inside the facility, there are men’s, women’s and family restrooms.

Will there be a Lost & Found where I can look for my missing stuff? (Keys, wallet, mobile phone, etc.)

Yes, inside the arena there is a guest services window where lost and found items can be obtained.

Will there be medical services on site?

Yes, first aid services are available inside the facility.  

What are the rules for bringing water bottles?

For safety and hygiene reasons, we do not allow outside water bottles inside the venue. You can purchase bottled water from our vendors or use the water fountains available throughout the venue. Thank you for your cooperation.

Can I get water on site? How much will it cost? Are there be free water refills?

Water will be available on-site for purchase. Costs will be set by the individual vendors on site. Additionally, water fountains are available inside the arena. It is important to note that outside water bottles are not permitted in the venue.

Can I take photos or record videos during the performances?

Photography with no flash will be permitted so long as the camera fits within the requirements set by the prohibited items list found here.
